The Maltese Gaming Authority (MGA) has put out a statement declaring that it is not connected with Kaiyun.io. The MGA further stated that "any reference to the MGA and/or gaming licence/s said to be issued by the Maltese Authority, as stated by Kaiyun.io is false and misleading."

The intention of the MGA is to regulate Malta's gaming market with integrity and competence, making sure that businesses that fall under the MGA’s regulation adhere to fair and transparent gaming, as well as to prevent crime and safeguarding vulnerable players.

Kaiyun.io, otherwise known as Kaiyun Sports, describes itself as an online entertainment platform that provides close to 1,000 sports events daily, slot casino gratis in addition to games and other live entertainment. Based on the report from the MGA, it appears that Kaiyun.io has made statements regarding the MGA that have not been backed by the Authority.

The MGA is able to issue and retract gaming licences to providers and is able to take legal action against those who break laws and regulations pertaining to gaming. Recent examples include the Cancellation of Authorisation for AMGO iGaming Malta and the Cancellation of Authorisation for Arabmillionaire, both of which had gaming licences cancelled due to missed licence fee payments.

In the statement, MGA also wrote:

"The MGA would like to remind consumers not to utilise services provided by an entity unless they have ascertained that the entity in question is authorised to provide such services by the MGA. The gaming regulatory framework obliges authorised persons to comply with strict legal requirements in the interest of consumers.

"The activities of unlicensed entities are unregulated and do not provide the necessary safeguards delineated by virtue of the framework, making transactions with such entities risky for consumers."
